Small Animal Surgeon
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in surgery and Small Animal work. The position is based at the the main Halesowen site, situated in an attractive area with well educated, insured clients. Halesowen has just had a major refurbishment.
You will be working at this site only, not moving around branches. Although there is a large surgical bias to the position we are also looking for a candidate with good all-
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in surgery and either hold a certificate, be studying towards one or about to enrol. We are currently and have previously supported colleagues through their certificates and understand what level of support is needed. The position involves working with other clinicians, who are very experienced and you will be able to take advantage of their skills while developing your own. You will also have the help and support of two rotating ‘houseman’ vets, one of whom is in theatre to assist the main surgeons each day. We perform regular complex surgeries including TPLO etc. There is an excellent working rota with some days where you will only work in theatre (no evening consultations afterwards). You will have time to work on your casebook and study.
We have a superb, stable and well trained team of nurses to assist you in our well organised practice.
